California Elementary

Califonia Elemenatry was identified for Program Improvement in Fall 2011 for not making Adequate Yearly Progress for two consectutive years for numerically signifcant subgroups.

While California has areas in which to grow, it is important to understand the Calfornia Elementray has made strong growth over the past 3 years.  California has improved the Academic Perfomance Index (API) by 63 points to 835, exceeding the Calfornia State goal of 800.  Addtionally, the school has improved student proficieny in English Language Arts, 17.2% and Math, 8.1% over the same 3 years. 

California Elementary offiers a high qualtiy, standards based instructional program for all students.  As part of the Program Improvement Process California Elementary will revise its Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to better align resources with student need.

On-going reivew of data, formative and summative, will be used by the site and District, to monitor student progress. Instructional decisions will be based on student performance data to ensure all students are gvien a comprehesive, rigous education.
