About The ACES Program

In partnership with the San Gabriel VAlley Family YMCA, a quality after-school program is offered at select WCUSD schools.  The program is designed to enhance students' learning in school while enriching their knowledge.  The after school program specifically offers academic support in literacy and math in a way that compliments lessons taught in the classrooms.  In addition to a structured academic enrichment with standards-based content, other activities that positively affect students' performance at school are also offered.  Program components include:

  • Homework Assistance
  • Character Development
  • Health, Safety and Nutrition
  • Enrichment Activities
  • Theme-based Activitties
  • Computer Programs

The program operates daily from school dismissal until 6:00pm and children are expected to attend 3 hours per day, 5 days a week.

REGISTRATION

All students must fill out an enrollment packet before the first day of attendance.  Completed application form may be submitted to your child's ACES Site Director, or at the Covina Main Office at 412 E. Rowland St., Covina, CA 91723.

For additional information, please contact the staff by email or call (626) 939-4900 x3018 between 9am and 6pm.
