Volunteer/Intern at Y-ACES!

Come Volunteer at Y-ACES:

The Y-ACES program is a great place where you can bring skills, knowledge, talents and ideas. If you enjoy teaching, sharing ideas, working with others and learning, then this is the right opportunity for you.  In addition, we also serve as a location for several Interns to gain experience working with children.  In the past, we have accepted interns from Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Los Angeles to help them meet their educational goals.  We are pleased to be able to offer our Volunteers/Interns flexibility and a wealth of Staff Development opportunities held by District Administrators, principals and outside resources.

Description of Duties:

Assist individual and small groups of children in grades 1 – 8 with homework activities, enrichment activities and/or recreational activities for a minimum of 4 hours per week, with times available Monday through Friday from 2:30 – 6 pm.

Requirements:

A Volunteer or Intern must fill out a volunteer application, job description, and do a TB test if you are over 18 years of age.

Who to contact:

Please contact Sandra Raygoza, Assistant Director of Y-ACES or call her at (626) 214-9716  (sraygoza@sgvymca.org) for an application.  Any volunteer accepted into our program is required to meet with the Assistant Director to discuss volunteer interests.

Why Volunteer?

Because one person can make a great difference...
