About SEIS
The Special Education Information System (SEIS) was initially created by Center for Educational Development and Reserach and the San Joaquin SELPA, to make IEPs easier for teachers to complete and track. Gradually, additional functions were added, including an MIS (CASEMIS) utility, the SEACO, BASICS, CSHA, ROPES, AuSpLan, and ACSA/CARS+ standards-based goals bank, and report generator utilities, and DRDP data collection and reporting among others. Since its launch in 2003, SEIS has proven to be an effective tool for both teachers and administrators in San Joaquin County and around the state. 46 SELPA’s and over 700 school districts across the state inlcuding West Covina Unified School District have elected to go with SEIS. To learn more about SEIS, a 40 minute summary video is available at www.seis.org/videos.
