In an effort to further support teachers as life-long learners, West Covina Unified School District will be offering a series of practical workshops with personalized support designed to help teachers make purposeful connections between technology and instruction. Participants in “TechThursdays”, will learn to use technology as an instructional tool to deliver lessons that maximize instructional time, engage an increasingly diverse student body, and facilitate the acquisition of 21st Century Skills.
These workshops are voluntary, available to all WCUSD teachers at no cost and will be held in different venues across the District monthly on Thursdays. The first TechThursday workshop is scheduled for 3:15 PM on December 3, 2009 at the Technology Training Center. In order to provide individualized support, space is limited to 20 participants and registration is required. For registration, additional information and suggestions for topics, please contact Daniel Gumarang at dgumarang@wcusd.org.
