Congratulations to Jake Jacobson (Director, Building Transportation Services) and Joan Moss (Director, Fiscal Services) who will be retiring after many years of service to the WCUSD community. We wish them a long and happy retirement!

On a cool sunless morning last Saturday (April 24, 2010), over 140 members of the community came out to Monte Vista School with a mission.  The plan was to give parts of the school a “makeover” by painting exterior walls, fences and the walkway that needed some sprucing up. Organized by United We Paint, volunteers comprised of students, parents, school staff and employees of California Credit Union contributed their painting skills while local businesses including The Home Deport provided painting materials and other supplies.
