Program Specialist- (after-school teacher)
Basic Duties: Is in charge of a group of 20-25 children daily and is responsible for homework assistance, snack, and following all curriculum provided by the organization. Staff will be developing lessons on activities relevant to literature, math, monthly themes, science, and physical education. Staff will be involved in managing classroom behavior and discipline students accordingly. This position takes place in a school type environment.
Requirements: 48 college units required, AA preferred. TB Test, Live scan, CPR/First Aid certified and minimum of 6 months experience working with children.
Hours: 20-25 hours a week. Work hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 1:30 pm-6:00pm and Wednesday 12:30 pm -6:00pm, hours may vary by specific site. Seasonal 10 month position.
